Pick Me Up Monday-The Knights Druid Soon to be Released!

Happy Monday All
Well here we are with another Monday and the start of the work week. To get you started I've found a little inspiration to get you through the week. Sure works for me Lol!
I have just finished my final edits and received my ARC for the next book in the Knights of Excalibur series. Keep checking this blog for a chance to win a PDF of The Knights Druid to coincide with the release date.

And here is the cover! Just got this late last night and you are one of the first to get first look.
I am hard at work on the final installment The Kings Lady and yep, it's Arthurs story and all I'll say right now is that Gwenivere is um...not what you would expect. I'm having a great time with this one and Gwen is keeping me in stiches. I never intended to write her this way, but it really works and Arthur gets to be more relaxed than in the previous books.
In other news I'm splitting my time between The Summoning and the third installment of the Dark Breeds. As you know this is Zeke's book and his lady is leading him one hell of a merry chase. From Atlantis to Las Vegas baby! This book will be more entrenched in Vegas than the previous book.
After these, I have several other books that have been waiting in the wings. Such is a writer’s life. Stories are always clamoring to be written. For me the hardest part of writing a book is the first third of it. Introducing the characters and plot are always difficult for me. That's probably why I like to start my books with some kind of action going on. Gets me through the tough part.
And speaking of tough parts, hope you all get through you Monday just fine and come back on Friday for another sneak peak at The Knights Druid.
Until then take care you.

Friday First Look

As promised here is the first look at the second book in the Knights of Excalibur.

The Knights Druid Blurb:
What’s worse than a pissed off Knight? Colin Hennessy.

Shifter, Knight and quick tempered Irishman, Colin remembers vividly his past life as Sir Kay. Haunted by the woman he once loved and lost, he has spent his lives searching for his lost love to no avail. Now Arthur is back and his life once again is filled with purpose. Joined by a common goal, he lives only to protect Arthur and his fellow Knights from the twisted, black magic of Mordred.

Juliet Boyd moves among societies rich and pampered, but she holds within her a terrible secret. One Vance Hollister is determined to exploit. Mordred is back in a new skin, now as Vance Hollister and the old evil is alive and well.

Colin and Juliet are unprepared for the flare of attraction that ignites between them from across a moonlit parking lot. Dare she open herself and expose her cursed gift? Can he save Juliet from Vance’s twisted manipulations or will he lose his second chance at love? A showdown between good and evil is coming to a head with Juliet right in the middle.

Tease Excerpt:

Colin knew they stood on the precipice of war. Mordred threw the gauntlet down with the invitation to a charity event being held at his offices in Woodland Hills. Colin planned on a direct attack; unfortunately Arthur got back before got a clear shot at the bastard.

Yeah, Arthur wanted to spoil his fun by having a plan in place. To Colin’s way of thinking he much preferred a direct assault, hit him hard and fast then retreat. True, there would be bloodshed involved; lots of it and the wolf buried deep in his shape shifting genes liked the thought of it.

Sometimes it was good to be a shifter.

“Time to get cleaned up, we only have a few hours before the charity event starts and I want everyone in place before Mordred makes his appearance.”

A prickle of unease slithered down his spine, a sense that everything he knew about to change and not all for the better sat like a boulder in his belly.

He had a feeling it would be a very, bad night.

Pick Me Up Monday

Happy Monday All

Well we survived another week and now look toward what is in store for us now. I wish I could be as happy about it as this hottie. Looking at that smile makes me feel a bit lighter though, as if yeah, I may just get through this one just fine.

Wow, so may things are going on right now I don't quite know where to start. I guess I should begin with telling you that I have several book signings coming up for the Paseo Verde Library in Henderson Nevada on August 18th. Then October 4th and 5th I'll be on a panel of four at the same library for their convention. I will be speaking on the changes in romance over the last twenty years and where we see it in the future with the ever increasing popularity of e-books. And of course this will be followed by another book signing.
If that isn't enough for the first week of October I will be running from this event to the Las Vegas Renaissance Fair. On Monday I will be taking a much deserved rest. Lol!
I am finishing up one of my larger manuscripts and am about ready to start submitting it to agents who may be interested. The Summoning is a four year work in progress that I have rewritten so many times I lost count. It's a book I've grown into in so many ways. It feels very strange to finally be at this stage with this project.

I will be starting a Friday blog dedicated to sneak peaks of my WIP's along with my regular Monday blog and will be bringing back my Author Spotlights in the fall. That's all for this week, have a great one and we will talk again next Monday

Pick Me Up Monday

Happy Monday All
Well it's the start of another week. Monday's are never my ideal day personally. I have great positive sayings to get through these. Like, you have to have a Monday to get a Friday. But whatever the positive reinforcement I use lets face it. Monday's, for me at least, sucks rocks!
Now with that said, you can understand why I need some positive visuals to turn to in order to get through the day. Well you can't get better than this. Dang, I could look at that chest and abs all week long and never get tired.

Well, now that we have a perky visual to set the mood for the week I am ready to delve into my worlds and see what kind of mischief I can get my heroes and heroines into. I guess you could call me their idea of Murphy's Law. Whatever can go wrong, etc.  I put them in the middle of a bad situation and then enjoy seeing how they get out of their dilemma.

Here is the basic concept from the latest WIP's of Knights of Excalibur which I'm working on. How much fun would it be for Arthur to come face to face with the one woman he ever loved and the one who betrayed him. Worse, she has no memory of him let alone her adulterous affair with Lancelot. He would want to punish her and yet what good would it do if she had no memory of him or the events that took place so very long ago.

Or Zeke's book in the Dark Breed series where he is forced to  marry a woman he never met and from a warring race he thinks beneath him. Bad but not very earth shattering. Until you add the fact Zeke's new bride is found over the body of the king, Zekes father, a bloody dagger in her hand and of course poor daddy dearest is full of holes. And she has no recollection of the act of violence.

With The Summoning I put the leader of the Sentinels, a man known for his distrust of women as the protector of a woman who is the key to saving two worlds. That is a bit uncomfortable for the Hero but not very alarming. That is until it is discovered the only way to save the two worlds is with her death by his hand. Yeah, that can kind of suck.

Well I better get back to work and I hope you have a great week with no sign of Murphy or his stupid Laws for you to contend with.

Until next week take care.

Pick Me Up Monday - Happy 4th to All

Happy Independance Day to all!

Once again it's Monday and the work grind starts again, but there is a great break where friends and family can get together and celebrate the coming holiday. So get those burgers and hot dogs ready, potato salad made and be sure to grab the fireworks. For me it's an extra full day I can devote to writing and will be holed up in my study delving into the worlds I made and love so much.

I have a working title for the last book in the Knights of Excalibur called "For the Love of a King" I thought it had a nice ring to it, but we will have to see if it will stick by the time I get to the end of the book. Alas, Zach's Dark Breed book is still untitled. That's alright since I am still hashing out all the particulars unfolding in his story.

I'm also finishing up The Sumoning. If you like demons, angels and the warriors who fight the dark tide engulfing our earth, then this may interest you. Like the Dark Breeds there is plenty of action and of course romance. This is a project I've been working on for three years and after many rewrites I am finaly pleased with the way the story is unfolding. I hope to have more information on this book for you by the end of this year.

Well that's all for now have a safe and sane 4th and talk to you next Monday.
