Cover Reveal and Teaser from Dark Desire-Releases July 4th!

As promised here is the new cover for my fourth book in the Dark Breed Enforcer series. Zeke's book promises more of the same fast paced action and electric chemistry as my previous books with plenty of twists for you, my fans.

Release date is set for July 4th which gives me more than one reason to celebrate the holiday. Stay tuned for many opportunites to win a copy of Dark Desire. Now here is a teaser for you as promised.

 

 

TEASER:

 

 

He barked out a harsh laugh, his words laced with venom as his lip curled into a sneer. “There is no such thing as a peaceful Lemurian. You are all killers. It’s in your nature to war and take what you want by force. Leaving nothing but devastation and ruin in your wake.”

She really didn’t know what to say to that one. His hate chilled her skin, the air so thick with his animosity she could barely pull in enough air into her lungs. The room closed in on her making her head swim. She needed to get away from this madman who just told her he had every intention of killing her.

“I’m just a damned stripper.” Her voice shook with fear and desperation. “Please let me go. I won’t call the cops. Just let me go … please.” The words didn’t come easy to her, nor did the fear she felt coursing through her like icy sludge threatening to immobilize her.

“Save it.” He bit out, his face as hard and implacable as stone. “You just don’t get it, do you? Nothing you say will make a damn bit of difference. Your ass is mine, and I alone will decide how long you live and how much pain you exist in. Face it. You’re screwed, so save your breath.”

His movements blurred as he once again closed the space between them and gripped her arm, tugging her through the living room and down a hallway, and past several closed doors along the way. He opened the last one on the right, shoving her into bedroom. Nothing but a bed, white walls and old battered dresser adorned the room. An old brass pot stood near a wall, but it was the chains attached to thick metal manacles bolted to the wall that made her heart stutter within her chest. Her throat dried up as terror on a level she never knew existed took hold of her with unrelenting force.

A scream bubbled out of her throat as he shoved her back against the chains. She fought with every ounce of strength she possessed, kicking and clawing at his unprotected face and throat, but he proved too quick and jerked away from her in time. Her nails only caught air.

He snatched one wrist, attaching the cuff, then the other, effectively subduing her arms. Her foot slashed out, but again he maneuvered out of harm’s way by simply stepping back. She struggled to break the manacles, the chains only giving her a few precious inches of freedom.

“Let. Me. Go.” She snarled the demand feeling anger rise deep inside, burning away the paralyzing fear from only moments before.

“I don’t think so. You can scream all you want. This room is soundproof.” He shook his head and walked to the door.

“Wait, what am I supposed to do if I have to go to the bathroom? You can’t just leave me like this.” She spat the words out, the taste of bitterness sharp on her tongue.

His gaze moved to the pot near her feet. “I’m sure you will find some creative way to relieve yourself. Not my problem.”

She shrieked, hurtling curse words at his retreating back and continuing long after he closed the door after him.

“You look as tightly wound up as a cat in a room of rocking chairs.” Tegan’s laughed, nudging Zeke’s shoulder good naturedly.

“Bite me panther boy.” Zeke ground out, his eyes may be hidden behind the dark shades he wore, but his head tracked Laris whenever she moved through the crowded room.

“Sorry, but you’re so not my type.” Tegan laughed.

“Will you stop tormenting the poor guy? He’s been through enough today he doesn’t need your bating him on top of it.” Kyra gently admonished her mate, placing a hand on his arm and giving it a gentle squeeze.

“I still can’t believe you never told us you were the actual heir to Atlantis.” Marcus shook his dark head. His long hair pulled back his face, giving him an austere air of an aristocrat. By his side, his consort Tambra Ellis tilted her head with curiosity. The two made a stunning couple, with her as pale as he was dark. Her golden hair wound around her with a will of its own.

A hybrid between a pureblooded lycan, vampire mix. Taking Marcus’s blood when she turned - or as it was known to the lycans as ‘the rising’- held some interesting side effects. One being that her ever-moving pale locks reacted to her moods, calm and soothing or whipping around her like Medusa’s snakes. Something, which Zeke found a bit unnerving.

Wednesday Snippet-Dark Desire Inspiration

For some reason Book Hooks is experiencing a technical problem, or my computer is just being stubborn, can't tell which since technology is NOT my forte. So in the spirit of Book Hooks I am giving you a snippet of my fourth book in the Dark Breed Enforcer series, due out this spring.

This beautiful man you see here was my inspiration for Zeke, the only thing missing is his shades. 

 

So, here is a small taste of Dark Desire hope you enjoy.

 

 

Zeke bit out a vicious curse as he tore hell through the alley, his boots pounding the pavement with in a quick thumping tempo. He burst out the alley turning a sharp right, startled to find a homeless man pushing a grocery cart full of his belongings right in his path. The old man cried attempting to move out of the way abandoning his belongings in a frantic effort to avoid the collision.

Gathering his strength, muscles bunching he leapt. His long legs carrying him clear of the cart. The heavy thump of his boots on the concrete, drowned out by the old man cussing him out. Zeke ignored it, bolting forward, his arms pumping to give him greater speed. His eyes riveted ahead at the dark haired lycan sprinting ahead of him.

God damn Pure Bloods.

He didn’t have time for this shit. He thought he kept upwind of Lucien’s sensitive nose. As he chased after Temple Fox’s top dog…or wolf, he cursed the March winds notorious in the Las Vegas valley. Shifting direction with a sudden micro burst of air Lucien stiffened, raising his head to sniff the air and just that quick he’d been made.

The quick and easy grab and dash for Oman’s Seal dying a quick death as the asshole took off leading him a merry chase through old town Las Vegas. So far the crowds have been sparse, but he knew his luck wouldn’t last. When it came to the lycan it never did.

Sneak Peek 

His nostrils flared and he groaned in approval. “You smell so good. Sweet as the most decadent desert. One I’m going to take my time enjoying.”

Her knees weakened at his words. The man knew what to say to a woman; soon she would be nothing but a puddle at his feet. “Do you sleep with those things on?” The words came out before she could bite them back.

His deep chuckle seeped under her skin causing her blood to burn hotter, her nipples tightened into aching nubs. The desire to rub them over the luscious expanse of his chest nearly undid her. Never had she wanted any male as she did him.

He leaned in close his hot breath caressing the skin on her neck as he whispered in her ear. “I don’t wear anything to bed.”

A whimper forced its way from her lips as he straightened, his smile turning into a wicked grin showing white even teeth. “If they bother you then, I guess you should take them off.” His demand came on a rush of air, his breathing turning harsh as his fingers stroked up to her arms to rest upon her shoulders.

Her hands trembled slightly as they rose to his face, lightly stroking over the sides of the dark glass and lifted them off. She gasped in wonder at the sight of such alien beauty.
